Who
we are – Israel or a Church? Who are Messianic
Jews? We know that the
faith in Messiah (Jesus
Christ) was born in Eretz
Israel. First followers
of Yeshua were Jewish people
and they were called ‘anshei
derech’ (people of the
way). What kind of name
is this? They followed
the One who called Himself
– “I am the Way, the Truth,
and the Life” therefore
they became people of the
Way. This is the most important
way in the history of a
mankind – the way to the
Heavenly Father! The influence
of the first Messianic
Jews has spread all over
the world. Many Gentiles
turned to God through the
Messiah Yeshua and the
first church was born.
The unity of the
Messianic Jews and the
church in
the first century broke
the darkness and bought
the light in the history
of a mankind. Later the
terrible tragedy happened
to Israel – the second
Temple was broken. Messianic
Jews as well as other Jewish
people passed through dispersion
and destruction.
The Church went to the way of the world – indulged
in disparagement of Israel and the Messianic
movement and it caused many problems to a Church
– such as heresy and mixing Christian traditions
with some pagan cults.
Praise God, after 2000 years God has restored
Israel and today He is restoring the Messianic
movement. This restoration is not an easy thing
for us – we must find our place in the Body.
Who we are? Many Messianic Jews ask themselves
this question. But the answer is simple. We
belong to Israel on 100% because we are Jews
according to our ethnic group. In the same
time we belong to the Universal Ecclesia because
we were born again.
What do we receive from this? Honestly speaking
we not only receive blessings but it causes
us many problems because we face misunderstanding
both from Israel and a church. Somehow both
these groups of people don’t understand what
God is doing today among Messianic Jews.
What do others receive from this? What do other
people receive from our 100% belonging to Israel
and to a Church? What’s the point? Our belonging
makes miracle because it sticks together Israel
and a Church restoring the union of the first
century which suppose to prepare the way for
the Messiah’s second coming.
