Many religious web-sites publish their materials to confirm ‘the kosher’ (appropriateness) of their faith. You won’t find in here but you still will read our understanding of some things.
We know that both Jews and non-Jews who live in Israel are called by God to observe the Torah and the eternal commandments. Does it give us salvation? No! The faith in Yeshua, the Son of God, the Anointed One who died to redeem Israel and all nations of the world gives us salvation. He paid the highest price for us when he died for our sins and rose from the dead. Therefore in the same way as first believers we have a task to identify ourselves with Him, with His life, with His death, with His resurrection, and with His glory. We want to keep our eyes on Him in good times as well as in the time of difficulties. Then, why do we try to observe the Torah? In order to observe the Lord’s commandment. God didn’t give us the Torah to save us but to give us direction and to show the Messiah who gives resurrection to every believer in all times. God gave us the Torah so we could distinguish between good and evil and to influence on physical and spiritual world. The people of Israel called to this purpose. Therefore God strongly punished Israel when the people left the Lord.
We study the Scriptures – the story of our nation and our inheritance. This way we can understand deeply the meaning of the words in the Scriptures. This attitude makes the Torah and the Prophets alive. Even the New Testament becomes more understandable. Our theology in built on our desire to cognize the Jewish point of the Scriptures with the help of the Holy Spirit because we can do nothing without Him. Do we have theological doctrines? Yes, and many of these doctrines are like Christian doctrines and many are different. What does it mean? If we think about the words of Yeshua: “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” we understand that these words doesn’t call us to theological or gentlemen tolerance, but love and respect of each other.
The fact is that any theology doesn’t give us salvation. In fact theology sometimes misleads people but the faith in the Messiah saves us. We are called to this faith and other things will be added unto us.
